Another week is come and gone but the memories made will last a lifetime!
From the moment the concrete was cleared for action on Monday of camp it was like last week of camp never ended. From coaches, to kids visiting for the day, the smiles and tricks were all-time. Day one also meant dirt fun — the constant updates to the mountain bike park saw its first riders roll through, and The Dirt Jumps got their fair share of action when the Hot Laps quad started spinning, taking riders and their mountain bikes to the top of the trails.
From scooter camp to BMX the outdoor concrete parks have been loaded with all kinds of activities from the high jump to the “foot down” contest. Speaking of activities, this week we have seen some of the most creative create-a-skates ever done at any Woodward Camp. One kid brought out his inner Steven Spielberg to resurrect Jaws as a skateboard shaped as a shark.
We wouldn't do opening day justice if we didn't mention what is going down all week long in The Action Sports Hub — inside was no exception. Mask-clad back flips on the super tramp, rollers blades and skateboards rolling through the indoor park, and plenty of pump track pumping.
Even though this week of camp has come to a close, we still have two more weeks of awesome coming our way with camp running through August 14th.
