Week 1 of Woodward Park City Summer Camp is underway and this inaugural session has been one for the books! After opening our doors in December we have been looking forward to one thing that Woodward has ingrained deep in its roots; summer camp. After 50 years of building kids up, Woodward Park City opened its doors to summer on July 6th for mountain bike, skate, bmx, scooter, cheer, parkour, digital media and multisport camps.
It has been non-stop action since the second camp started across the entire 125 acres of awesome we have here. Campers have been coming in for lunch from the mountain bike trails smiling with a little dirt in their teeth while the BMX campers have been ripping the brand new dirt trails. DJ Matty Mo came in to give the kids a true “Journey Into Sound” while the Digital media campers have been flying drones and capturing those magical summer moments. CA Skateparks was out putting some final touches on The W Plaza and The Central Plaza with a classic Woodward touch for the skate campers the whole week before camp. If you scoot, then Woodward is where you want to be. With more facilities, more pros, and more campers than ever, the Scooter program at Woodward Park City just keeps getting better every week. There has been some serious Choreography going in the cheer camp and the campers are on pins and needles waiting for the routine to go off at the end of camp. From stunts to jumps we have been hearing the giggles of campers on the trampolines under their facemasks from sun up to sun down.
From volleyball to tie die t-shirts this week has been jam packed with activities for all to enjoy. And if you can’t find a camper enjoying the activities outside of instruction, you can probably find then in The Grind Café enjoying some local Wasatch Creamery ice cream.
Summer Camps are still on sale for the rest of the summer, make sure to book your spot so you don’t miss out!
