If you’ve been shredding during an indoor session here at Woodward Park City, you may have noticed these strange black boxes on the walls with little green lights and wondered what kind of FBI spy system we were using. Well, those boxes are actually called AIRPHX units, and they play an important role in helping our staff and guests stay safe from air and surface pathogens.
Remember sitting in your 5th grade math class and seeing the kid sitting in front of you drawing ramps, drops, and jumps over spike-filled fire-pits on their binder? Those are our trail builders. Okay, so they’re not building spike-filled fire pits, but they are building some pretty revolutionary new trails right now.

Last Friday, we hosted our inaugural Play Forever Friday event that benefitted our friends at Wasatch Adaptive Sports and it was an afternoon full of action! Play Forever is Powdr and Woodward's corporate responsibility promise to protect the environment and enable participation. We plan to continue these community events by partnering with one our local non-profit organizations one Friday a month. Our discounted tickets and special activations encouraged the community to come out and participate, with $5 donated to Wasatch Adaptive Sports for every ticket sold.
Some new and exciting changes are coming to our mountain bike trails here at Woodward Park City. The trail crew has been working hard to add a new mountain bike trail to our existing trail network. Starting at the top, a new green trail that features low angle, beginner friendly rollers and berms is being cut in to give newer riders another option when progressing their skills. Our Senior Parks Manager, Benny McGinnis said, “We wanted to build something that had a lower angle pitch for users who are newer to mountain biking.”
Camp has come to a close but things are just getting fired up for fall. There was no better way to close out the Summer than with a perfect party to share with all of the campers to leave them with memories that will last a lifetime.
