Play Forever Friday Recap

Last Friday, we hosted our inaugural Play Forever Friday event that benefitted our friends at Wasatch Adaptive Sports and it was an afternoon full of action! Play Forever is Powdr and Woodward's corporate responsibility promise to protect the environment and enable participation. We plan to continue these community events by partnering with one our local non-profit organizations one Friday a month. Our discounted tickets and special activations encouraged the community to come out and participate, with $5 donated to Wasatch Adaptive Sports for every ticket sold.

Some new and exciting changes are coming to our mountain bike trails here at Woodward Park City. The trail crew has been working hard to add a new mountain bike trail to our existing trail network. Starting at the top, a new green trail that features low angle, beginner friendly rollers and berms is being cut in to give newer riders another option when progressing their skills. Our Senior Parks Manager, Benny McGinnis said, “We wanted to build something that had a lower angle pitch for users who are newer to mountain biking.”

Our inaugural season of summer camp has been an enormous success – and it’s all because of our awesome campers!

This week’s summer campers are leaving with new skills, friends, dance moves, and memories. With eight different summer camps available, there’s no shortage of sports to choose from! This week we followed our cheer campers along as they flipped through an incredible week learning new tumbling passes and dance routines.

Summer camp - Week 2 Recap

What a week so far! Sunny skies and kids putting their hands together cheering one another on has been taking over the Woodward Park City campus. We may not be able to see the smiles from all of the boys and girls here at camp with their masks on but the hoots and hollers of joy make up for it.
